Application Process

Applications for the 2023-2024 cohort closed on 9/27/23.

Read below for more details about the academy. We look forward to your application next year!

- Applicant must be employed in the CTC system in a position that supports workforce education and/or professional technical education.
- Applicant should demonstrate an interest in pursuing a higher-level workforce leadership role at the Dean level and beyond.
- Applicant must complete an application and have supervisor fill out and submit the recommendation form.
- Applicant must submit a current copy of a current curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.

- Attend all training sessions. We anticipate hosting two sessions in-person and six virtual
  sessions, though schedules could change based upon future health and safety mandates.
- Participate in learning activities with cohort members between sessions. (Canvas)
- Regular engagement with Academy coaches, presenters, and consultants.

- Learning, engagement, and mentorship from a variety of professional consultants, facilitators, and system workforce education experts
- Continuous learning and networking with a cohort of workforce colleagues from our college system
- Virtual tools and resources for effective hybrid learning
- Breakfast, lunch, and all conference and media expenses for in-person training sessions
- All required Academy materials, supplies, and subscriptions

- Applicant’s supervisor or Dean/Vice President of Workforce completes the supervisor recommendation form during the application process.
- Pay $2500 tuition fee for your participant(s) which includes the hotel expenses for the two in-person, overnight trainings. (Billing for participant fees will come from the Center of Excellence at Green River College)
- Provide support and the time and resources necessary for participant to fully commit to all required Academy activities.
- Cover travel costs for the participant to-and-from the Academy training sites.
- Assist the WDA Board, as requested, in prioritizing applicants should we receive multiple applications from the same institution.
