Academy Recruitment & Requirements

CRITERIA FOR CANDIDACY

    • Applicant must be employed in the CTC system in a position that supports workforce education and/or professional technical education.

    • Applicant should demonstrate an interest in pursuing a higher-level workforce leadership role.

    • Applicant must complete an application and have supervisor fill out and submit the recommendation form.

    • Applicant must submit a current copy of a curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.

WDA PARTICIPANT COMMITMENT

    • Attend all training sessions.

    • Regular reading and learning activities with cohort members.

    • Engagement between sessions including Masterclass lessons and small group work.

    • Engagement with Academy coaches, presenters, and advisory board.

WORKFORCE DEANS ACADEMY PROVIDES

    • Learning, engagement, and mentorship from a variety of professional consultants, facilitators, and system workforce education experts.

    • Continuous learning and networking with a cohort of workforce colleagues from our college system.

    • Virtual tools, resources, and subscriptions for effective hybrid learning.

    • Breakfast and lunch for all in-person meeting sessions.

    • All required Academy materials and supplies.

COLLEGE COMMITMENT

    • Pay $2,500 fee for your participant(s), which includes hotel expenses for the three overnight sessions. Billing will come from the Center of Excellence at Green River College.

    • College is responsible for covering all travel expenses to and from the three in-person training sessions. Note: this is not the responsibility of the participant.

    • Provide time and resources necessary for participant to fully commit to all required Academy activities.
